Busy- a badge of honor? →
I think perhaps it’s a copout. ”What have you been up to?” “Oh just busy, busy.”
It’s often an excuse for not doing those things she mentions— reading a book, relaxing, making a garden— and a way to commiserate in conversation with casual friends.
Why can’t we challenge each other to relax better instead? Share our ideas of doing nothing....

Still enjoying making the new comic, but I’m not 100% sure why I’m doing it or why I started it.
I thought it would be something I could work on anywhere, but my laptop doesn’t render colors well enough or have the right fonts, so it’s taking more of my time at home than I’d hoped it might. If it gets to be another burden I might have to rethink how often I post.

Jury Duty
Just ended my jury duty for the day. I didn’t get picked but can’t say I’m too disappointed about that.
Even so, it’s always interesting to hear a bit about all the other prospective jurors as we’re all questioned by the lawyers. You get a true cross-section of the community there, and we all have different responses to the same questions. Those responses say a lot...
